I had a great time with the girls and spent the week after that actually scrapping. It really felt good to scrap again. The past 2 weeks have been emotionally and mentally draining and I’ve pretty much retreated from the digiworld. It started with the news that I would be joining millions of people in the unemployment line this coming Nov. as they are closing down my office. Downsizing has struck. Last week was much more devistating. We lost my uncle on Tuesday and the week was spent in tears and laughter and stories with family and friends. My designing mojo has totally bailed on me. I’ve decided that I’m going to take a little vacation and see if it comes back. I spent yesterday scrapping a tribute to my uncle, but I’m not quite ready to share those. I won’t disappear forever but right now it’s just a bit hard to be upbeat and happy at the various sites in digiworld. Thank you so much to those who have checked in on me. It means a lot to me. To my friends in the states, enjoy your 4th weekend. I’ll chat at you all soon.

And had a terrific time up north with the girls. It’s amazing how fast they grow isn’t it? And what energy they have. I just wish I could bottle it all up. But they are good for a work out, trying to keep up with them. I was so wore out that I was fast asleep by 10 each night. Spending time with them is the best part of all, but this year my birthday present was 2X as nice. My SIL did this adorable bag for me. It has 3 flowers on it. The flowers are handprints of the girls and then the leaves on each stem are my nephew’s thumbprints. I really need to scan it so I can show you. It’s totally adorable and an awesome craft idea. But my brother, he came through like a champ. Get ready for the most awesome birthday gift EVER (ok, maybe that’s a little dramatic but still……it’s much better than what I got from Shannon bwhahhahhahahahaha) He gave me his first camera. It’s a Nikon D70 and other than needing a new lens (the one works but not great) it’s perfect. And I love it!!!! And him too. What a good bro.
So no photos yet. I have to get a card reader too. But hopefully I’ll have found some scrap mojo with all the fantabulous photos I took.
So I did Kim B’s color challenge over at DSO. It’s the best challenge evah. And I had a little heads up that the colors went up early so I was able to get it done pretty quick. Saw the colors and had picked up a new overlay and the first thought was one of my favorite Bob Seger songs. Sun Spot Baby was the perfect name for this kit. Here take a look.
So I had this up for those girls who also do the color challenge each month. There’s a ton of us and if you love the colors, you just have to check out the challenge. So many talented scrappers and designs partipate.
Well, I guess that’s a pretty good update. I went to the gym up there on Saturday morning. It was nice, but I just didn’t feel like I fit in the place, didn’t know where anything was. It was a lot different than mine. I went to the high school track on Sunday morning and got 3/4 of a mile in before the girls soccer team showed up and it started to rain. This morning I pulled 2 toddlers in a saffari wagon so I definately got my work outs in. I guess we’ll see tomorrow when I hit the gym again. Hopefully you also had a good day today Kris and aren’t too sore. bwhahaahaha You can do it!!!!!!
Enjoy your day!
